Overview

The Solutions Architect is a responsible for creating technical solutions based on Braxton’s commercial product line, ACE Premier™ and integrating new missions into the Enterprise Ground System Architecture. The successful candidate will communicate the value our products bring to customers, while meeting their requirements. The products include Satellite Command and Control (C2), Satellite and Ground Antenna Simulation, Flight Dynamics, and/or Resource Optimization. The Solutions Architect is the technical expert within the Braxton sales/demonstration team. This position reports directly to the Mission Onboarding Lead.

Position Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates to partners and customers an in-depth knowledge of Braxton products’ capabilities, applications, underlying technologies, and deployment strategies
  • Prepares and presents Braxton's capability demonstrations and tailored value propositions
  • Works with sales team to create appropriate solutions for customer requirements
  • Works within a team to respond to customer Requests for Proposal, Requests for Information, Statements of Capability, and other mechanisms that communicate how Braxton meets customer requirements
  • Supports VP of Technology and Mission Onboarding Lead to align our product strategies with market trends, customer requirements, and competitive threats
  • Supports tradeshows, networking events, and demonstrations at customer sites, as necessary
  • Demonstrated experience with modern deployment approaches such as cloud solutions, virtual machines, and experience with multiple platform deployments (i.e., Windows and Linux)
  • Revise, redesign, and/or possibly re-code demonstration platforms as required to meet specific customer’s unique requirements
  • Work with product team to ensure unique customer requirements are reviewed through the corporate Configuration Control Board (CCB) process
  • Potential to support Internal Research and Development (IRAD) and other short duration technical tasks such as Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) projects

Minimum Security Clearance

  • The ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance; an active DoD Secret Clearance is desired

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong understanding of Satellite Ground Systems Engineering, Development, Integration and Test, or Operations Engineering fields
  • Demonstrated experience with Satellite Command and Control, Scheduling and Optimization, Flight Dynamics, and/or Space Vehicle Simulation
  • Proven experience as a technical, solutions, and/or enterprise architect
  • Demonstrated experience with at least one of the following scripting languages: Perl, Python, and/or JavaScript
  • Some working knowledge of least one of the following programming languages is desirable: C++, Java, C#, .Net
  • Strong written and oral communications skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active DoD TS/SSBI or SCI Clearance
  • Sales and proposal preparation background

Education and Training Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Systems/Software, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline required
