Braxton Science & Technology Group's (BSTG) division, Braxton Technologies, a growing technology product solutions company, has an opening for a multifaceted, professional with 5+ years’ of program management experience in systems and/or software development and a desire to manage program execution.

The position will support the US Air Force Space and Missile Center (SMC) Enterprise Ground Service (EGS) SATOPS, Prototyping, and Integration (SPI) program and its goal to deploy a universal command and control architecture aimed at eliminating restrictions by continuously delivering enterprise tactical command and control services and applications that, when integrated with mission partner unique services and applications through the use of system engineering principles, will fully enable today’s modern warfighter.

The primary role will be as the Deputy Program Manager (DPM) responsible for assisting the SPI Program Manager (PM) with the coordination of all activities and assist with oversite of a large growing program’s deliverables. This position requires technical expertise and responsibility. The Manager plans and organizes tasks to meet program objectives by performing duties personally or by allocating tasks to team members and collaborates with other company managers. This individual has background supporting the DoD and/or IC communities in program management as it relates to rapid prototyping solutions using cutting-edge technology.

The DPM reports to the SPI PM for SPI tasks and may be assigned responsibility for special projects that are integral to the SPI program. If the PM is absent the DPM will temporarily assume responsibility for coordination of the program. The DPM will assist with administrative, personnel, fiscal, travel, logistical, training, quality control, and other duties as assigned by the PM. The DPM will also provide management, direction, and leadership to PMO personnel, and Team Leads supporting SPI projects.

DPM may also be assigned additional lead PM duties managing other smaller projects within the company to improve cross-collaboration between programs.

Position Responsibilities:
Contract and Technical Management:
• Acts as the requirements management expert. Deeply understands the contract and customer requirements.
• Deciphers, monitors and plans the execution of contract deliverables.
• Acts as a main point-of-contact for the team’s technical directives on the assigned program.
• Implements methods and procedures for monitoring programs such as progress reports, staff conferences and preparation of research findings.
• Interfaces with the technical leadership, executes quality control and implements process improvement.
• Adds value to the day-to-day operations of the business by providing documentation and metrics to the customers and leadership team.
• Monitor and report the status of program to management, program sponsors, clients and other stakeholders.
• Support proposal efforts by providing guidance and writing for technical requirements.

• Enhances the reputation of the enterprise by accomplishing new and different requests for the customer.
• Develops a deep understanding of the customer.
• Explores opportunities to add value with existing customers.

Minimum Security Clearance:
• DoD Secret Clearance
• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI required

Required Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:
5+ years in a program management of technical systems and/or software engineering position.
• Demonstrates a high-level of comfort with ambiguity and the ability to overcome said ambiguity.
• Prior experience with requirements management.
• Ability to express thoughts effectively to establish oneself as a credible and impactful source of information.
• Solid written and oral communications skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build connections with stakeholders.
• Ability to occasionally speak and present to audiences of up to 20 individuals.
• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
• Prior experience within Satellite Command and Control.

• Prior experience with agile/scrum methodologies
• Experience providing successful project transition (from prototype to sustainment)
• Prior experience with Microsoft Project


Education and Training Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree.

Preferred Education and Training:

• PMP Certification.
• ITIL Certification.
