Overview

The Data Analytics and Cloud Application Developer will directly support the US Space Force and Missile Center (SMC) Enterprise Ground Service (EGS) SATOPS, Prototyping, and Integration (SPI) program and its goal to deploy a universal command and control architecture aimed at eliminating restrictions by continuously delivering enterprise tactical command and control services and applications that, when integrated with mission partner unique services and applications through the use of system engineering principles, will fully enable today’s modern warfighter.

Position Responsibilities

  • Support development of complex services that interface with physical remote systems.
  • Develop data analytic capabilities and reports in order to analyze mission capabilities with large specific industry data libraries.
  • Utilize statistical methods and analysis techniques to identify patterns in large data sets and communicate the results to various stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and interface with Product Owners and Team Leads and other developers and systems that require application-specific services.
  • Participate in technical, and programmatic meetings and contribute to resolution of issues
  • Develop and review technical and programmatic documentation
  • Ensure developed product meets customer and user requirements and design objectives

 

Minimum Security Clearance

Secret (Ability to obtain a DoD TS/SCI clearance)

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience with the following technologies:
    • C++ and Python programming languages
    • Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Windows operating systems
    • Amazon Web Services or other virtualization technologies
    • Probability and Statistics applications
  • Experience with data mining and analytics of separate data sets
  • Ability to interface and document designs in UML
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability and desire to work in a team environment

Database development

Education and Training Required:

Bachelor of Science in computer science or a related field

Minimum Years of Experience

5+ years
