General Position Responsibilities

 

  • Directs and manages execution of systems engineering processes
  • Develops and applies complex research and analysis techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and difficult technical and analytical requirements and problems requiring the expert application of advanced knowledge
  • Provides analysis related to the design, development, and integration of hardware, software, man-machine interfaces and all system level requirements to provide an integrated solution
  • Performs cost/cost-performance trade-off analysis and feasibility analysis. Evaluate technology conceptual designs and regulatory compliance support. Assist with concept studies and analysis. Evaluate alternative technical approaches and their associated costs
  • Oversees the development of system test requirements, strategies, devices, and systems
  • Directs overall system level engineering and testing efforts
  • Provides high-level architectural expertise to managers and technical staff
  • Develops architectural products and deliverables for the enterprise
     

Minimum Security Clearance

  • Active Secret, or active within the past 2 years


Required Qualifications and Skills

  • At least four years of experience in conducting system engineering, analytical, and problem solving activities using structured problem solving techniques
  • Experience authoring technical documents
  • Knowledge of systems and software engineering fundamentals to the design of computer, storage, and networking systems utilizing automation and virtualization technologies
  • Understanding of configuration management, COTS hardware and software management/integration, and engineering deployment and transition methods
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, positively influence team members, establishes and maintains excellent customer relationships, and delivers positive results
  • Ability to communicate within the company, prepare and deliver presentations/summaries (both verbal and written), which appropriately address the intended audience


 


Education and Training Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Mathematics

  • 5+
