Ingenicomm, a Braxton Science and Technology Group (BSTG) company, has an opening to support our growing engineering team. As part of BSTG, Ingenicomm develops cutting edge satellite ground system solutions for customers across the Civil Space, Department of Defense, and International space agencies. One of our principal customers is NASA, and we are looking to add talent to our team in Wallops Island, VA.

Position Responsibilities

  • Schedule, coordinate, and conduct adult and youth group tours NASA facilities according to Center protocols and NASA’s Security procedures
  • Provide visitors with relevant, accurate and relatable information on NASA and Wallops’ missions through a variety of in person and digital communications
  • Prepare and submit monthly reports, update community calendars, maintain and manage list-serves, distribute promotional materials
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of NASA Center-unique public educational programming, student field trips, virtual programs, special events, and public launch viewings
  • Assist with and occasionally lead informal STEM education program delivery for visiting youth and adult groups
  • Assist with all aspects of museum operations including exhibit enhancements, grant writing, etc.
  • Assist with updating webpages, creating and curating social media content, and design of promotional media
  • Assist with visitor services at the front desk and daily maintenance of attendance records

 

Minimum Security Clearance

  • None required

 

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Excellent organizational skills while managing several projects at the same time
  • Experience maintaining and tracking data via digital platforms, updating webpages and managing digital communications highly preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience creatively communicating technical or scientific information to the public preferred
  • Strong organization, evaluation and analytical skills for strategic planning and continuous improvement
  • Must have proven ability to work effectively and efficiently in person and remotely while remaining adaptable
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with diverse team members and NASA community
  • Must be outgoing, self-motivated, and enjoy working with the public
  • Experience with webpage or social media management preferred

 

 

Education and Training Required

  • Four year college (Bachelor’s Degree)

 

Minimum Years of Experience

  • 4 years of recent relevant experience
