Network Engineer

Braxton Technologies, LLC, a division of Braxton Science & Technology Group (BSTG), a technology solutions company, is seeking a highly skilled mid to senior level network engineer to work on multiple business initiatives. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of implementing network solutions in an on prem and cloud environments. Ability to work with routing protocols such as BGP and OSPF are required. As we are working towards hybrid cloud models the ability to script or learn scripting with orchestration tools such as Ansible and Terraform are also helpful. Initial work will be mostly hands on configuration and then progressing towards fully automated solutions. The ability to quickly learn and adapt to changes are important in this position.

Position Responsibilities

• Maintain a thorough understanding of the basics behind the Internet and its workings
• Configure and setup Cisco Firewalls, VPN Concentrators and Security Appliances
• Design, setup and configure complex switching environments
• Design, setup and configure complex wireless networking that supports open or secured access and the ability to support voice and video applications
• Maintaining multi-site network operations and software applications, operating systems and regular maintenance
• Troubleshooting malfunctions of network hardware and software applications, telephones and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services
• Any other duties as assigned by management. Non-inclusive examples are assisting with operating systems administration, cybersecurity monitoring, documentation, project oversight

Required Qualifications and Skills

• ISO Model
• BGP, OSPF, GRE, IPSEC, UDP, TCP/UDP
• Subnetting
• CCNA or higher certification or relevant experience/certs JNCIA etc.

Additional Desired Qualifications, Skills, Certifications

• Ability to apply DISA STIG's to routers and switches
• AWS Networking or other cloud networking experience
• Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation
• Scripting Languages
• ASA or Palo Alto experience
• Security+

Required Clearance

• A DoD secret clearance is required, TS/SCI desired

Education and Training Required

• Associates required, Bachelor’s Degree desired in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Physics, or similar field

Minimum Years of Experience

• 6+ with Associates Degree
• 4+ with a Bachelor’s Degree
• 3+ with a Master’s Degree
