Braxton Services Company, a subsidiary of Braxton Science & Technology Group (BSTG), has an opening to support our growing business within the National Security Space market. Our customer is architecting, developing, and supporting National Security Space Launch (NSSL) enterprise. We are seeking a motivated individual who seeks to work within a team environment as a Software Analyst. In a software development team, a software analyst is the person who studies the software application domain with the NSSL enterprise, prepares software requirements and specification documents, with a focus on migrating to complete digital environment. The Software Analyst is the layer between the software users and the software developers within the enterprise. This position requires a motivated individual who seeks to work in a team environment where creative solutions are encouraged and technical challenges are the norm.

Position Responsibilities

  • Plans, conducts, and technically directs projects or phases of engineering and NSSL projects.
  • Coordinates the efforts of technical support personnel, drafters, technical writers and technical analysts in the performance of assigned projects.
  • Conducts investigation and tests of considerable complexity. Recommends corrections in technical applications and analysis.
  • Evaluates capabilities to provide required products or services. Conducts investigations and studies and presents recommendations and solutions related to NSSL program planning requirements.
  • Classifies and summarizes data for the preparations and submission of reports on a recurring basis. Provides advice and assistance to managers which directly affect the conduct and attainment of SMC/ECL goals and objectives.
  • Identifies, researches, and evaluates new and emerging technology to support strategic planning initiatives.
  • Performs evaluations, requirements analysis, and cost analyses.
     

Minimum Security Clearance

  • Active DoD Secret (or active within the past 2 years) 


Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Software engineering and development experience - minimum of five years


Education and Training Required

  • Four year college (Bachelor’s Degree)


Minimum Years of Experience

  • Not less than five

 

Additional Desired Qualifications, Skills, Certifications

Experience with U. S. Government Weapons Systems or other large Government programs desired

Experience involving launch systems used in NSSL or commercial launches desired
