Software Test Engineer
Ingenicomm, a Braxton Science & Technology Group subsidiary, seeks Software Engineers to NASA's Space Communication Network Services (SCNS) program at the White Sands Complex (WSC) in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
Position Overview

Position Responsibilities
- Creation of test scenarios and the designing of test cases for test plans for implementation
- Review of software test cases and checking of the test cases
- Configuration of the software test environment test bed to support testing
- Work closely with software engineers to help replicate software defects and identify methods to implement fixes
- Report defects and problems that occurred during the test process
- Deployment and transition of new software versions to the operational system
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Self-motivated and disciplined - able to work with minimal direct supervision
- Quick learner, and enjoys the challenge of learning and doing something new
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual comfortable working with a cross-disciplinary team in a fast-paced and challenging environment. This position provides opportunities to work with, and create, cutting-edge aerospace technology in support of domestic and international space programs.
Education and Training Required- A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, mathematics or a related technical field
Required Security Clearance
- Ability to obtain a US Secret Clearance
- US Citizenship is required
- Citizenship in a country other than the US is not permitted
Years of Experience
- Entry to senior level experience
- Experience with satellite communications protocols
- Experience with satellite ground data systems
- Experience with the Tracking and Data Relay Satellite system
- Basic knowledge of computer networking
- Experience with DEC Alphas and OpenVMS
- Experience with scripting languages
- Experience with Wireshark
- Experience with memory and performance profiling
