Description

Braxton Technologies, LLC, a division of Braxton Science & Technology Group (BSTG), a technology solutions company, has an opening for a Cyber Software Engineer to support our growing business.

 

The Cyber Software Engineer will directly support the US Space Force (USSF) development and integration of advanced Cyber Detection capabilities into the Defensive Cyber Operations for Space (DCO-S). They will be on an Agile team and use their expertise and skillsets to leverage existing COTS/GOTS/FOSS products to produce a product which provides automation and continuous deployment into operations to address enterprise-wide situational awareness in the cyberspace domain resulting in effective, prioritized DCO-S.

 

Position Responsibilities

The initial focus of this position is to support the integration of cyber-related data into the existing DCO-S infrastructure to expand the suite to access other data sources and enterprise capabilities. They will facilitate DevSecOps pipelines and CI/CD processes to build, test, and deploy various DCO-S tools and environments in an automated, reliable manner. They will also ensure data services required by AI/ML components are available. They will participate in innovation and agile planning and processes to expand cyber detection capabilities.

 

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Extensive experience with Software Engineering and Integration using modern development processes.
  • Extensive experience with programming, scripting, and/or automation
  • Extensive experience with python and javascript.
  • Experience in Agile principles and tools (ex: Jira and Confluence)
  • Experience with DevSecOps and tools (ex: SIMP, Docker, AWS Extensions, BitBucket, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform)
  • Experience with Systems Engineering
  • Agile mindset and likes to tackle complex problems and take initiative and responsibility.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with Linux and Windows environments.
  • Technical and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot end-to-end systems.

 

Desired Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience utilizing knowledge of DoD and NIST cybersecurity publications
  • Experience with Cyber principles and tools (ex: Volatility, Radare2, Hex Editor, Cuckoo, Yara, Klocwork, Fortify, Xplico, FTK, Autopsy, SIFT, REMnux, HBSS, ACAS, SCC/SCAP, Ghidra)
  • Experience with IaaS / PaaS (ex: AWS, Azure, or GovCloud)
  • Experience with Penetration Testing
  • System Administrator experience (Linux and/or Windows)
  • Experience with Network engineering and/or administration
  • Experience with Firewall configuration
  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence and/or Machine Learning

 

Security Clearance

  • Has the ability to obtain a DoD clearance (eligible).

 

Education and Training Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline

 

Certification Requirements

  • IT Certifications for 8570 compliance for IAT Level II is required. (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP)
  • Additional IT Certifications for 8570 compliance desired for:

IAT Level III (CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH)

IASAE (CASP+ CE, CISSP, CSSLP, CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP)

CSSP (CEH, CFR, CCNA Cyber Ops, CCNA-Security, CySA+, GCIA, GCIH, GICSP, Cloud+, SCYBER, CHFI, GCFA, GSNA)
