IT Deployment and Integration Specialist

 

Braxton Technologies, LLC, a Braxton Science and Technology Group (BSTG) division, has an opening to support our growing engineering business. This position requires a motivated individual who seeks to work in a team environment where creative solutions are encouraged and technical challenges are the norm.  

 

Braxton is looking for an IT deployment, configuration, and integration specialist.  Primary responsibilities will include deploying hardware and software systems into test and operational environments to support DoD satellite ground system programs.

Shift

  • M-F, Days

Travel

  • Up to 25% Travel may be required to deploy at customer’s facilities.

 

Position Responsibilities

  • Develop system specifications based on provided government architecture requirements
  • Tracking and receipt of hardware and software inventory items
  • Deployment of hardware equipment into government systems based on pre-established procedures
  • Perform field support activities, such as site surveys and maintenance support
  • Follow established procedures to transport, install, and test equipment
  • Use experience and knowledge of IT related fields in troubleshooting efforts.
  • Works in conjunction with deployment and integration team lead to provide support across multiple company sponsored programs and projects.

 

Minimum Security Clearance

  • DoD Secret security clearance
  • TS eligibility required, active TS preferred

 

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Knowledge of industry standard software deployment processes
  • Understanding of software and hardware inventory management procedures
  • Knowledge of system fundamentals regarding computer design, storage, and networking
  • Working knowledge of virtualization technologies
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, positively influence team members, establish and maintain excellent customer relationships, and deliver positive results

 

Education and Training Required

  • Associates degree required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

 

Minimum Years of Experience

  • 3+
  • Mid-level experience preferred

 

Additional Desired Qualifications, Skills, Certifications

  • IAWDOD 8570.01-M, IAT Level 2 Certification
  • Experience and working knowledge of spacecraft, data processing, storage, network and crypto solutions
  • Familiarity with MS Visio or other drafting programs
  • Experience authoring technical documents
  • Working knowledge of satellite ground systems and space operations concepts
